I had heard of dryer balls, and I picked up a few at a local farmer's market fiber event. There was great variability in size, density, and surface fuzz among the balls offered by local sheep and alpaca farmers. Shortly afterwards, I discovered THESE dryer balls, and I was hooked! I bought dozens more for family members--neutrals for those who favor simplicity, various colorways to suit the tastes of others, cute animal-themed sets where there are small children to help fold socks, and whimsical stars or flower/bee sets. My timing was perfect, because other family members had researched--but not yet acquired--laundry balls, and these were a total hit! They do seem to help with static and speeding up dryer time, but even if they did not, they make laundry more fun!
