COVID-19 and Feeding America

We are in this together

Dear Friends,

In this time of uncertainty we wanted to share with you what our response has been with regards to the COVID-19 crisis. Our top priority is that our customers and employees are, and stay, safe and healthy.

Stay safe

As you know our mission is to provide safe and non toxic zero waste products to our community. In the light of today’s events millions of families are spending their days inside. The kids are home and being able to switch to a sustainable chemical free household becomes of crucial importance, which is why at the moment our online store remains open.

Stay healthy

We are constantly monitoring the evolving situation, and wanted to share with you the actions we’re taking in response.

  • We have completely restricted outside visits to our facilities.⠀⠀
  • Our warehouse and all working surfaces are disinfected and sanitized several times throughout the day.⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • We have reduced staff to minimum, there’s only one staff member at a time working in the warehouse.
  • All meetings are conducted virtually and from home.
  • We have chosen to guarantee unlimited full-pay sick and family leave to all our staff, to ensure they are under no pressure to make the decisions that are best for them, their families, and their community.

  • We are also closely monitoring the situation in our Kathmandu factory. Nepal has preventively closed all its borders and fortunately Nepal is not currently experiencing an outbreak. That said  we are fully committed to ensuring the well being of all our artisans and will be ready to step in if necessary.

    We are in this together.

At Friendsheep we strongly believe that all of us must do whatever possible to be part of the solution, especially in these critical times. We hope you are doing okay and are able to take care of yourself and your loved ones. If you are, please check on your senior neighbors, a phone call, a nice word, some fresh produce or a warm soup left on the porch can make all the difference in these times of fear.

Hunger in America is a problem for 37 million people, of which 11 million are children and 5 million seniors. Today, in light of the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent school closures, job disruptions, health risks, even more people are suffering hunger. Tens of millions of Americans - children, adults and seniors - do not have access to food. This is why we decided to step in: for the whole month of March until the 15th of April we’ll be donating 100% of profits from the sale of our Stars Galore eco dryer balls to

Please join us in helping our fellow Americans. Donate to your local food bank, check in with your neighbors (a phone call or a text will do), support local, support small businesses. Offer a set of starry dryer balls and essential oil to someone you care for, and help them switch to a non toxic lifestyle while supporting the Earth and our community.

Thank you so much for being part of our family! We are blessed to have you.

Be healthy, be happy, and stay safe - and don’t forget to wash those hands!
